Didn't want to squeeze into tourist spots, so we went into the mountains to pick mushrooms. The journey was long and bumpy, but it was totally worth it. In the quiet mountains, there was no phone signal. Mushrooms of various colors kept surprising us. Our guide Xiaomi taught us to identify many types, and we even tasted raw milk-cap mushrooms—the taste of the wild. We stir-fried the mushrooms we picked on the spot and ate them; they were incredibly fresh. Special thanks to the dog Xiaoxi, who was responsible and guarded us all the way.

5A fantastic mushroom foraging experience. Guide Xiao Mi patiently told us which mushrooms are edible and how to identify them. Our handsome driver Xiao Qi was witty and humorous, and after foraging, he cooked us a delicious mushroom dish.
Drove to the mountains to find mushrooms. The journey was quite far, but totally worth it. Guide Xiao Mi and the team treated us like friends, took good care of us, and patiently shared knowledge about mushrooms. During foraging, they identified which ones were edible, which were tasty, and which were poisonous. Having no signal was the best part—I didn't have to look at my phone. We all foraged a lot of mushrooms, and Xiao Mi's team helped cook them—it was delicious! We were lucky to find many black trumpet mushrooms; they were so fragrant when mixed with noodles. If I get the chance, I'll recommend this to friends.
So much fun! The mushroom foraging activity was very fulfilling. Xiao Jing, Xiao Mi, and Jason were very professional and efficient. The team was highly international—friends from Malaysia and we got along wonderfully. We set up chairs and tents together, chatted happily, and everyone tacitly took away all the trash, showing a shared commitment to environmental protection. The mushroom soup and stir-fried mushrooms were absolutely delicious, with much more natural flavor than restaurant preparations. There were also two cute dogs, Lucky and Xiao Xi. This trip was fantastic!
Deep mountain mushroom foraging #MountainMushroomPicking That day, I ate the best mushrooms of my life—because I picked them myself. I also saw 'Jian Shou Qing' (a type of mushroom that turns blue when touched) for the first time; it really does turn blue when you touch it. I also saw many red mushrooms that only appear in Alice in Wonderland. Dali Cangshan Hiking Home's activity was great. Guides Yan Zi and Xiao Qi were very nice. If you're willing to pay for a special experience, you can try their activities. Yunnan is wonderful. I envy the people who live there so much. After returning to the city, I don't want to open my photo album, because the travel time feels like a dream. I really don't want to wake up.
