À propos de ce voyage
One day in January, Dali was hit by rain, a very cold rain. During the descent, Xiao Xi sent a message: It should be snowing at Muxiangping. Do you want to go, Wangwang? I want to go, it’s been a long time.
My hands were a bit numb from the cold. I took out my phone, saw the message, and slowly replied with one word: Let's go. I have seen many landscapes at Muxiangping, but I had never seen the snow scene.
2025.01.11 Record of watching snow at Muxiangping in winter
Thinking back a few months ago, while walking at Muxiangping, my companion Yu Miao exclaimed: "I really want to take a nap here."
Taking a carefree nap among the uninhabited alpine meadows, blue sky, and white clouds sounds very luxurious and dreamy, but looking around at Muxiangping, it feels truly achievable.
Actually, this wasn’t the first time I heard this. On the hiking trail to Jizu Mountain, passing by Muxiangping, several fellow travelers said similar things: "Let’s make this the end point," "How about we stay here a little longer," "I want to lie down and do nothing," and so on.
Observation deck after departure
Perhaps it's my illusion, but no matter the season, walking through the Muxiangping pasture, there is always wind. There are only us hikers, the cattle, the woodcutter brother and his packhorse. We seem like the fixed cast of Muxiangping, passing by each other, greeting each other.

Winter at Muxiangping
So let's hike to Muxiangping, where you can do nothing, chat, read, sleep, or climb to the stone house on the top of the mountain to gaze at the Lengyan Pagoda on Tianzhu Peak. When visibility is good, you can even clearly see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain hundreds of kilometers away.
