12The guide patiently explained the plants and animals we encountered along the way, making this exploration trip a delightful surprise! The experience of picking wild tea was fantastic, and I'm really looking forward to the final product!
A very nice tea-picking experience, the best closing activity in Dali. We also saw wild mushrooms on the mountain, and the guide was very attentive in introducing the plants along the way. An immersive hike. Really great.
A wonderful tea-picking experience, fun, relaxing, and not tiring. It felt like a half-day immersive nature spa for the body and mind. We gathered at the foot of Cangshan in the morning and set off up the mountain with the lovely guide Yanzi. After picking tea, we descended in just half a day. The route was developed by Yanzi and her companions after much exploration, so reaching the tea-picking spot was easy, and filling a basket gave a great sense of accomplishment. Along the way, Yanzi introduced various flowers and herbs. Although I forgot nine out of ten, remembering even one is a gain, right? I sincerely recommend this route and experience.
This mountain outing was far more wonderful than expected. Grateful for the thoughtful companionship of guides Yang Mi and Wang Wang Wang Xiao Xi. The gentle texture of plants touched by fingertips, the unique fragrance of the mountains lingering in the nose, and the warm smile of the Bai grandmother—all have become precious imprints in my heart. The healing and joy of this day are worth cherishing for a long time.
Picking wild tea in Cangshan Forest It was the perfect ending to my last day of travel! So happy.
What a pleasant surprise, there was even a little dog that came along.
This Cangshan tea-picking experience was such a pleasant surprise. The guide not only knew the vegetation and tea culture of Cangshan like the back of her hand, but also brought a soft little dog along, making the whole journey healing. We went into the forest to pick wild tea. The guide Yanzi patiently explained the tea tree's growing environment and picking techniques, making it easy even for a beginner like me. In the afternoon, we spread a picnic cloth on the pine forest viewing platform, laid out freshly picked leaves, fruits, and snacks, and enjoyed a forest afternoon tea with the open mountain view. The wind was filled with the scent of pine needles and tea. Finally, we could make the picked tea into Cangshan white tea to seal and take away, completing the full ritual from picking to tasting. The guide was attentive and professional, and the little dog ran around happily. This was the most unforgettable nature experience in Dali. Highly recommended!
So happy!!! Will come again next time.
Foraging wild tea in Cangshan forest was absolutely perfect!
Wonderful experience! Our guide Wanwan was very patient and introduced many new ways to play with plants. It's an activity that easily puts you in a flow state, quiet and immersive.
Picking tea on Cangshan Mountain in the rain A friend recommended the Cangshan Hiking Club activity. I checked the weather forecast—rain. Between going up the mountain and going to the seaside, I preferred the mountain. So I chose tea picking. This activity was perfect for me. I focused on finding tender tea leaves and didn't need to talk much along the way. Meanwhile, the guide intermittently introduced the plants and flowers we encountered. There were eucalyptus trees with fragrant fruits—said to be woody, but I thought it smelled like guava, the more I smelled, the more fragrant. There were walnut trees, where each flower produces one fruit. There were spices for tom yum soup, green plants used in toothpaste (smelling like essential oil), flowers that can be brewed to reduce internal heat, and some I couldn't remember... New experiences added. Looking forward to drinking the naturally air-dried white tea! I also had white tea in the guide's car—loved it! I also envied the bond between the guide and her dog. The little dog was so cute; it came close to greet me as soon as it saw me! I'm no longer afraid of dogs. I gently petted it and played with it.
