Nodeng

Famous for Nodeng ham, 180 km from Dali. It is an ancient village on a hillside, historically a salt-producing area with a prosperous economy and numerous salt-horse ancient roads. Due to the relatively long distance, there are usually not many tourists. The village is rustic, and the surrounding mountain villages are suitable for hiking and walking. Along the way, you pass by the Yangchimi Wild Hot Spring. Now that the expressway is open, transportation is faster. I recommend a guesthouse where I stayed: Xinkelai Inn, phone 15087295015. Although not well-known, it is affordable, homey, with ham, local chicken, and a wood-fired stove. The hosts are nice. Nodeng Xinkelai Inn, stay in a homestay, walk around the nearby villages, eat home-style meals, very relaxing. If you don't drive, you can use the 'Dian Yue Chu Xing' mini program to take a bus to Yunlong County, then take a taxi to Nodeng village, just a few kilometers away.
