42-Day Shangri-La (Tibetan Area) Camping (May-October)
Departing from Dali for a two-day camping trip in Shangri-La, with wild camping by a summer pasture stream, including natural scenery of the Tibetan area, pastoral life, meadows, camping equipment, and preparation of breakfast and dinner. The second day returns to the ancient city area around 17:30-18:30.

Huoshan Easy Hike to Watch Sunset | Half-loop of Erhai Lake to See Sunset Glow Over Cangshan and Erhai
Huoshan is near Shuanglang, about 55 km and a 1.5-hour drive from the ancient city. Depart in the afternoon, drive half loop around Erhai to the trailhead, then a 2.5 km easy hike to watch the sunset glow over Cangshan and Erhai (with a mountaintop picnic). Return to the ancient city in the evening.

The activity is about 45 kilometers from Dali Old Town, within a 40-minute to 1-hour drive. It revolves around the villages of Eryuan (one of the sources of Erhai Lake), offering a leisurely itinerary that includes experiencing the making of Dali's traditional snack Rushan (dried milk fan), boating across the lake, and strolling through the countryside fields. It is suitable for those who enjoy a slow pace and traditional culture.

In-depth Shangri-La Pastoral Area 2-Day Trip
A two-day trip from Dali into the highland pastoral areas of Shangri-La. A 3.5-hour drive takes you to the Tibetan area, where you visit a nearby herdsman's home, cook dinner together, and light the Tibetan stove. On the second day, hike to the foot of the snow mountain pasture, a round trip of about 3 kilometers with an elevation gain of 300 meters, with tea and snacks along the way. Suitable for those who want to deeply experience the daily life of Tibetan pastoral areas.
